To reduce barriers to a physically active lifestyle, the Rutgers Kinesiology and Applied Physiology (KAP) program trains aspiring researchers, coaches and trainers, and healthcare professionals. Our goal is to make physical activity and exercise more accessible, more effective, and more sustainable for everyone. By doing so, we can reduce the burden of diseases, like obesity, cardiovascular disease, and dementia AND continue to optimize human performance. The Kinesiology and Applied Physiology program (M.S. & Ph.D.) trains students for exercise- and health-focused research careers in academia, government, military, and the tech industry.
